They just expect you to know which games you can push in and get healed and which games you get a TikTok Moira dying in their backline.

This actually explains really well why matchmaking feels the way it does. One game all of the DPS players will play like ass, then the next they’re suddenly gods amongst men sniping me (usually a support) right out of spawn.

They completely fumbled with the ranked system in ow2 . It’s just blizzard are too stubborn to admit that they fucked up. I really hope they go back on the design choices they made and revert back to ow1 ranked system.

I mostly play around gold to diamond range, but every now and then a random Top 500 player will somehow make their way into the game

This also feels really bad for all the players who are far lower skilled than their teammates. They’re (usually) not completely oblivious; they know if they’re diamond playing with GM and getting rolled. It feels awful for everyone involved.

Idk why they are catering to players with bad attitudes anyway, it's the wrong audience to pander to. They don't want anyone to feel like they are doing bad. So much so they are willing to lose their games functionality. Wild.

I don’t know what they can do for the top level players. It’s either fair matchmaking that would take ridiculously long wait times or fast lobbies with inconsistent levels

Standing there as support watching the team push in pieces and just die to 5v2 again and again.

Looking from a pharah standpoint if the tank is low ELO and support high elo that tells me I have easy pickings on the support and that'll win the fights. But as a support or tank if I can't rely on my teammates to be around my level (roughly silver to gold) then things get real difficult. That's when tanks over extend, supports solo heal specific characters, and worse case enemy dps isn't challenged and we suffer from it

This is something that i've been subject to at times and people always think I'm making it up. Whenever I tell my team, even if they're GM players as well, that we're not on the same page, I'm not necessarily saying I'm better or they're better, it's just I'm playing at the pace I've climbed to GM with while trying to learn new things and they have a different pace they expect out of the teams they've climbed to GM with. Those are the matches I usually get rolled on but whenever I mesh well with a team we tend to roll.

It’s almost like they need to add visible ranks back into at least competitive, that way you have less guesswork in what your teammates skill levels are

Thing is he’s not wrong. The amount of times I have to switch off genji cuz my healers cannot support me at all.
1. Either too scared too push so they can’t heal
2. Miss/ cant keep up with my movement while fighting despite me slowing down and pausing for heals especially for Ana’s
3. Despite them doing well as a support (scoreboard) I can say 100% I don’t get healed at all.

I still look good on the board but I know that those deaths are just from being unable to be supported. As soon as I swap to like junkrat and even then play almost stationary would I get heals.
