Sky Sports F1 Presenter Rachel Brookes interviewed Sir Lewis Hamilton ahead of the start of the F1 2021 season. This is the best F1 interview of all time. I give my reasons why it is one of the greatest interviews by Rachel Brookes and Lewis Hamilton.

I think what made it a great interview was that, for something to do with F1, it didn't really focus that much on the racing in and around F1. Like you've said, the personal connection that Lewis made with Rachel is one of the points that stood out most for me. Martin Brundle said recently that Lewis is one of the few drivers on the grid that he feels keeps his cards close to his chest, so to see him open up in an interview like that was pretty special. Contrasting it with the interview that Martin did with him ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix last year, you feel like the main differences are that Lewis is more confident in talking openly about issues of inequality, imbalance, and injustice and, at the same time, that with Rachel he has the opportunity to make a personal connection through these issues that he doesn't have the same way with Martin.
What you said about Ricciardo going to McLaren was interesting too, and something that I hadn't really considered. I'd say that McLaren nowadays is still one of the more uniform teams, but I'd also say that it's a very different machine under the leadership of Zak Brown and Andreas Seidl than it was under Ron Dennis. Not sure how much it has affected how uniform the team is, after all Lando feels like he's had to change his tune to match the team, but quite luckily for us it seems like it hasn't affected Daniel too much!
