This place is very authentic.

The frying oil is the same from when they opened 80 years ago!

A channel with almost 9 million subscribers and without narration in any language. Pure genius, multilingual and non-lingual at the same tome, no need for closed captioning.

I finally found the true definition of "bathing in oil" here on youtube....

The bun cutting segment was the most satisfying part of the video.

I haven't seen my sister in 10 years and when we reconciled, we went to Jimmy buffs. It was 90 mins away but worth it. We had the best time, laughed and enjoyed a great meal. They are the best!

While living in the Newark NJ area in the 60's and 70's I ate there quite often! Loved them! Even now I'm in Atlantic City NJ and every now and then I drive from AC to West Orange NJ to indulge in a double dog, eat it, swing by our old house in Newark and then come on back to Atlantic City without breaking a sweat. Jimmy Buff's is THAT good! 😋😋

I literally lived two blocks from Buff's in the late seventies. It's 45 years later and I can still taste every bite and the smells in and around the place and being greeted by the owner every time I came through the door. Man, I could go for a double double with mustard, extra potatoes and onions right now.

Authentic Italian. I've been Italian for 36 years, never seen ONE restaurant like this hahahaha

Me: "So what do you cook in oil?"
Owner: "Yes."

I left New Jersey because of work and to this day I have never found a place as good as this. New Jersey is a foodie heaven. Pizza, Chinese, hot dogs, and burgers. I miss this so much.

In the 1960s we would drive to the one on Springfield Ave. It was worth the drive! Later we moved to a new house off of South Orange Avenue and would go to the on on Rt. 22 westbound by Bowcraft. An older couple seemed to run the place, and the man was missing a finger. I didn't ask! Some years later I realized that I lived on the street where the owner lived--just a few doors away-- but the iron gates with the letter R on each one was not sending the message--come on in.
The "double sausage" was beyond a doubt the best in my experience. Great memories.

Jimmy Buff's will never be mistaken for health food, but God, that looked so good.

I grew up in Somerville, NJ through the '70's and early '80's. After a night of partying, we'd head over to Jimmy Buff's for some hot dogs & sausages. I gotta tell 'ya, that stuff was some 5-Star, Class A, Premium 24K-Gold, Ultimate munchie buster food there!!! This video brings back some delightful memories. I feel full just watching it...

Man I remember ordering this without mustard and I was so reluctant to eat it. Wanted to go with the flow so I took a bite, another bite and it was gone. It was delicious! I have no idea how they do it!

I feasted on these hotdogs growing up in Newark, N.J. where the original store was located. The owner was a cousin of my maternal grandfather. If I remember correctly they expanded to 4 stores one of which was on Rte 22 in Union, N.J.which i believe this one is though I can’t say for sure.Growing up in Newark in the 50’s & 60’s was terrific. In addition to Jimmy Buff’s, there was the Resevoir Tavern which made the best bar pizza and mussels marinara on the west side of Newark and over in the north ward there was Dicky Dee’s hotdogs(similar to Jimmy Buff’s) and Louis & Ting-A-Ling for American hotdogs. Those were the good old days.
