From what I read, smaller chain links are stronger than very big chunky ones. The chunky ones are more for machismo than practicality or function. It just looks ‘gangsta’.

Be best for him if he had a harness on, if a chain can break, imagine the risk to his esophagus? Bad a$$ dog tho!

From my research, dogs with any type of training can be better behaved than any dog with no training. Be it protection, search and rescue, seeing eye, ECT. If you turn on the on switch, you can also turn off the switch. I'd rather have a dog that you can control than having to shoot an intruder, because you can recall your protection trained dog than trying to recall a bullet. Once you have an intruder under control, because of your dog, you can call the police. If you shoot an intruder, when you call the police, they might be picking up a bosy instead. Imagine trying to reach for your gun and having it taken from you, you'd be in real trouble. With a professionally train dog, you're safe from any intruder. Especially if that dog is a South African mastiff. I'd rather have the dog, for companship, fun, protection, and interaction any day. The dod is doing its job well. That's what the original job they still have in Africa. Beautiful and awesome male there.

Impossible for him to break this chain, we use about the same aize for log pulling and it never breaks
