Thank you for the video’ it’s important to host your server but it’s also important knowing how to update your server when it comes to oxide or other mods each month!

Fantastic guide, as usual. I've been hosting a local test server for years using this method and the only timed it failed me is when I tried to break things on purpose. If you also want remote players to be able to connect to your locally hosted server, you also need to properly set up port forwarding on your router/firewall. These days, 4 ports need to be forwarded, usually starting at number 28015: game port, RCON port, Rust+ app port and the query port.

is it just me but the start.bat file runs and you cant see half the text it like overwrites what its typing all the time didnt do this first time i set server up literally get 3 lines of text max drag up and everything is blank, it seems to work fine but its kinda annoying that i cant see what the hell the progress is at

on windows 11 maybe i need to adjust something to how cmd.exe is presented?

SRT thank you for all your videos I have made my own rust server in the past with your older vid and everything worked just fine and I just made a new local rust server using this vid again but the only issue I have is the puzzle/keycards I can not run monuments like go in the keycard rooms any ideas on how to fix? Also it’s kinda laggy for the first 10 minutes of playing and after 3 hours it kicks me out of rust with no error code would love to hear your feedback for any fixes please and thank you!
