Inflation is not the rise in prices. Inflation is the printing of currency which in turn provokes a price rise

Printing money has always caused Inflation. Prosperity doesn't cause inflation.

Money can't be printed. What they print is currency.

It's not "printing money" but the creation of debt which must now more than ever be inflated away to be ahem "paid" ahem. The advantage of a gold standard was that it always kept debt levels for *ALL THE THINGS* "knowable" I guess I would say but now currently with "US Treasury buybacks" here in the USA it is clear that "yield control" is back on the table which if you hyperinflate a modern economy like the USA will cause yields to fall but the cost...trillions upon trillions upon trillions to infinity is literally incalculable both mathematically but also for Society as well. "Just burn the entire Federal edifice to the ground" appears to be the ahem "solution" ahem...whilst supporting Israel to the end as well...but I would strongly argue this is neither workable nor viable and #irony may lead to a fairly straightforward but brutal recession *PLUS* inflation indeed is doing just that Calendar Year 2024 right now.

Saying that QE is basically money printing is really misleading

Supply is never fixed so the example doesn't work. You don't print to print. You print the produce stuff and do stuff. Creating supply. Don't forget supply was interrupted by covid, energy prices spiked through the roof. Those are far more meaningful than the money supply itself.
