How to play Coldplay - Violet Hill on acoustic guitar (Chris' Chords)

The second chord you play is actually a C#m9. What Chris does in that live version is mess around going from C#m to C#m9 a bit as you showed, but as he sings "remember" he goes to a B (played as 799800). He only does that in the first verse though.

However, the second time around (Clearly I remember...) his thumb still goes down to a B, but he doesn't play a B chord. I believe he plays a C#m/B (7, 11, 11, 9, 0, 0).

I can't quite see or hear that variation of the A chord though, but I could be missing it.

I've looked into a bunch of versions trying to get it to sound right a couple years ago, it's very rare to find tabs that are accurate.

Anyway, I love your videos, you're a huge reason why I can play a bit of piano. Looking forward to more guitar covers and tutorials :)
