BRO!!! You've taken a iron nail, and compass contain magnet, so it's not magnetic effect of electrical current, it's simple magnetism of iron...

Fake he kept magnetic below table cause aa size battery have not enough Voltage as well as no. Of turns are very less and there is no removal of insulation coating of wire and magnetic field is weak out side the solenoid
