All you need to know about the eruption of a wisdom tooth

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last set of teeth to develop and emerge in the mouth. They usually appear in the late teenage years or early adulthood and can cause problems when they don't have enough room to come in properly. When this happens, it is called an impacted wisdom tooth.

An impacted wisdom tooth can cause pain, infection, and damage to other teeth. In some cases, it may be necessary to remove the wisdom tooth to prevent further problems. The process of removing a wisdom tooth is called an extraction, and it is typically performed by an oral surgeon.

During an extraction, the surgeon will numb the area around the tooth to minimize any discomfort. They may also give the patient medication to help relax them. The surgeon will then make an incision in the gum tissue to expose the wisdom tooth and remove it, either in one piece or in smaller pieces.

After the extraction, the patient will need to rest and follow post-operative instructions to ensure proper healing. This may include taking prescribed medications, avoiding strenuous activity, and eating soft foods.

In conclusion, the eruption of a wisdom tooth can sometimes lead to the need for an extraction to prevent problems and ensure oral health. The extraction process is performed by an oral surgeon and involves numbing the area and removing the tooth, with proper post-operative care needed for proper healing.

I just got my wisdom tooth removed x my doctor had given me local anesthesia and I didn’t feel a thing. He was able to just pull out the tooth in less than a minute! No kidding. Hours later and it doesn’t feel too bad. Kind of feels like how it felt when it was impacting my tooth (soreness of my jaw).

To anyone who has wisdom tooth pain just get them out! Honestly I waited until I was in my late 20s and it’s been a harder recovery. The pain and problems won’t go away until you remove them! And if you can be put to sleep. It was a super easy surgery. It took an hour and I was on my way home!

Why did my wisdom teeth grow in straight, but then over 10 years after having them in my mouth I noticed my row of teeth suddenly was crooked 10 years after? Were they just like, slightly pushing all of my other teeth ever so slightly over that 10 year period?

I just got my wisdom tooth removed yestrday i had an appointment at 7:30 it took doc 15 mins to remove as my wisdom tooth was grown cross and also had cavities, so he had to cut my gums and then after removal had to put stiches .

First he gave me anesthesia 3 injections ...then they started .

After that they gave me ice pack to keep where the swelling is later another injection on my waist to reduce pain and some medications including painkillers, infection reducing tablets and swelling reducing tablets . And it doesnt feel any pain to me very very alight pain ..but as ason as i take medicine it will b fine again ..

Coming to food suggested rice ganji, idli, soft foods only .

bro i’m 18 and my two top wisdoms erupted about 2-3 months ago and i don’t think they’ve pushed my front teeth but everyday i make sure to pick the food out and don’t have the best dental hygiene i need to brush more but have really straight teeth, idk when i’m getting them extracted but it freaks me out cus my right wisdom i can feel the entire top of it, only a little bit on the left, food is getting harder to get out and idk what to do
