The Barista Touch™ | How to perform a routine clean of the grinder conical burrs | Breville USA

Maximize the potential of every coffee by following our guide to cleaning the grinder conical burrs on the Barista Touch™.


Regularly cleaning the integrated conical burr grinder guarantees consistent high quality results in the grind and extraction of your espresso shots, ensuring great taste and flavors for every coffee you create.

Directions:
1. Unlock and empty the hopper and remove any remaining coffee beans hidden in the machine. When emptied and clean, place the hopper back onto the machine.
2. Set the grind size to maximum and run the grinder until it is empty.
3. Unlock and remove the upper burr by pulling the wire arm up and twisting counterclockwise.
4. Clean the upper and lower burr along with the grind outlet with the burr brush provided.
5. To place the upper burr into the machine, align the index marks and push the upper burr firmly into position and lock it into place by rotating clockwise.
6. Insert the hopper and lock into place and return the grind setting to its previous position.
7. Refill the hopper with fresh coffee beans.
