This is the first board game that introduced me to the concept of 1 player board games. Note that it can be played with up to 6 players as well, but the solo variant is just as great.

I consider this game to be a must-have in a solo board game collection - it’s so fun and is a good balance of being relaxing and challenging.

In this game, you are the mayor of a tiny town in a forest filled with adorable creatures. Your town is represented by a 4x4 grid and in each turn you must pick 1 resource from the 3 available face-up cards in the deck, to fill your town with an assortment of buildings. In a normal multiplayer game, you would just pick a colour then your components would pick the other colours, but here you’re restricted by this deck.

Each building has a different shape and ruleset so you basically need to strategize to try to score the most amount of victory points at the end of the game and try to achieve the rank of Master Architect!
