1. If you are using the default email application for iPhone then open it.
2. Now select "Edit".
3. Now you need to tap on the email which you want to mark as spam. 4. Then select "mark" here at the bottom
6. if you are using web based email application such as gmail then what you do is go ahead and open "gmail".
7. Now you need to tap on that particular email which you want to mark as junk or report as spam.
8. Then tap on this three dotted icons on the upper right corner
9. Then select "Report spam". So, once you do this one then this email has reported as spam.

This is not true. The edit function will only allow you to put the email in the trash folder, not the junk folder (on an iphone 7 plus).
