No Rick, Gutenberg did not invent the press or the ink that he used to print. It was a modified wine press. Gutenberg was a goldsmith. A goldsmith uses a hallmark, a little piece of metal with a design in it to identify the smith. His stroke of genius was to realize he could make an modular alphabet of hallmarks and attach them to a press to press entire pages of text at once.

When we went to library of congress in 2011, they had a Gutenberg bible on display. It was pretty awesome to see.

Why would he go from 65k to 47k when its worth 80k?

Rick orders a cold drink... 5 min later:
Waiter: Everything ok, sir?
Rick: What do you charge for that drink again?
Waiter: 5$ sir.
Rick: Look the ice is half melted I'll have to put it into a new glass and everything I'm taking a huge risk here 1.25 is the best I can do.

Being in the pawn or reselling business you become cheaper and cheaper. Even if he bought the "leaf" for $60k, and who knows; if he took it to auction it could sell for more than its worth. Either way buying it for around $60-65k it's still money being made.
