Finland has 2 official languages. Finnish and Swedish. We have to learn both at school (which students absolutely hate) tho majority of the people here just speak finnish and vaguely understand Swedish

The US doesn't have an official language but you have to speak fluent English to become a US citizen if you move to the US

You have forgotten Italy: Between 60 and 70 percent of Italians in South Tyrol speak German as their most used language.

South Africa has 11 official languages. The Germanic ones in that list are Afrikaans and English.

It's de facto official in the US and UK. Virtually every road sign and official government document will be written in English, and any government official will be speaking it.

while not "officially" a germanic language, French has a lot of german words. Actually French is the latin language with the most germanic roots while english is the most germanic languague with latin roots.

English’s official language was a test question. I didn’t know and thought it was obviously English. Most people got it wrong though lol.

It surprising to see Finland on this list because Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language that lands in the ural language family, like Hungarian and sami. It is highly debated whether this language family is also part of the Altaic language family. While there may be some Germanic in Finnish unfortunately it is not a Germanic language.
