Koibumi (Shizuru's Theme) - Rewrite OST [Piano]

After many weeks and countless hours of playing, I finally completed the final route TERRA in Rewrite, and I was completely blown away by the finale.
Basically, it's a "faith in humanity restored" - ending, a bittersweet finale full of hope and optimism.

I definitely recommend you playing rewrite, there's such a great story and message behind this visual novel, and I cannot praise the characters enough. Especially Kotarou, he is probably the most badass MC from all key visual novels.

Okay, back to the actual video:

Many soundtracks from Rewrite have already been transcribed and uploaded on youtube, including the beautiful menu screen music "旅" - journey.

But apparently, nobody has made the sheets for Koibumi yet, shizuru's Ending theme, the piece I improvised on soundcloud a week ago.

Therefore, it was a piece of cake to transcribe the complete song, since it's based on my soundcloud version.

Rewrite is the name of a visual novel, made by Key who is also known for visual novels which were eventually adapted in to anime like Clannad, Air, Kanon, and Little Busters! However, despite me saying those visual novels, I have to say that Rewrite is not at all like its predecessors.

I found this video years ago and thought the piece was really beautiful. Then I decided to listen to the original song, and I suddenly just felt a surge of emotions as I completed it; Even with my skeletal understanding of Japanese, I could tell that this song was heartfelt.

And just recently I played Rewrite and finished Shizuru's route, hearing Carnation in the common route, to Koiuta before everything went thanos snap mode, and finally Koibumi at the end. And just like the first time I listened to Koibumi, I felt that same surge of emotions well up in me. Ah, I was crying.

I just finished Rewrite (except oppai ending). Best thing ever. Ever. Having seen well over 700 anime, countless films and experienced hundreds of stories in all other forms of media,  Rewrite is seriously the most amazing one IMO. Everything was perfect. Kotori is best girl forever
