Removing rust from wheels and restoring - 1985 Chevrolet Caprice Classic
In this video (second part), I now have the old tires removed from the original OEM steel wheels and I'm experimenting with removing the surface rust on one of the wheels. The wheels are the original OEM steel wheels, and after 37 years (!) are showing some rust around the edges. The rust removal was a huge pain--very slow and tedious process. I ended up deciding to having the wheels media blasted and powder coated. Definitely worth it in the end. The powder coating is "Cardinal 60% Black T006-BK05".
