Serious question - would you buy the Pixel 3a??

Bought my girlfriend the 3aXl 2 weeks ago when they came out. She's getting 7and a half hrs of screen on time regularly, she loves the phone and the pictures are on par with my Pixel 3XL. Not gonna lie I'm kinda jealous of her phone. Great phone for the price.

I think this phone will hold up just fine for the next 3 years it has to update. Google made this phone because they wanted to sell more. I don't think google is going to let us down on this phone. If someone is trying out the 3a for the first time and it starts to become really slow and laggy quickly they obviously won't be interested in buying Pixel anymore.

"Reviews for the average consumer"
This I truly respect. Subscribed to numerous tech reviewers, I enjoy updating myself whenever a new smartphone comes out. However, I feel many get carried away, always reviewing the top flagships. This gets pretty dangerous since their standards for their "average" phones don't match our usage or standards.

Of course when they review a different phone every two weeks, they will notice a difference. Functionality is key and pixel phones certainly excel at it.

Absolutely this is the best Android device overall. It's not the cheapest, it's not the most expensive, but it has the very best of the high end phones while making some sacrifices in processors and hardware which really isn't much of a sacrifice as a user! Put a clear case on this and it is suddenly as glassy as the Pixel 3! And lag -- what lag?

As a Google guy, I would get this phone. I'm currently still enjoying The Essential Phone at the moment. I really love the screen. But that Pixel Camera really screams at me. I'm very tempted.

Im watching this on my pixel first gen and tbh this phone is still hecka fast. I'm staying loyal to pixel. Every phone ive had before this would shut down 1.5yrs later but this one is still good with a pretty decent battery life.

I own Pixel 2 XL for 8 months (it takes great pictures and videos!), but I think of giving my girlfriend Pixel 3a, so I can use it too!

I bought this phone I've been using it for about a week as well and I use it for rideshare and delivery and it's an excellent phone for the price you can't beat it coming from a different phone that was a lot older this phone is amazing

I got the 3a and love it. Does everything I need and it's snappy and fits the budget. We can only hope Apple follows this new paradigm to stay in the game.

Nice job on the review... Yeah I got the Pixel 3a last week and have been very impressed with the pictures it takes and the battery life...personally I think the polycarbonate is a more practical material to use than glass on the back of a phone that's just one more thing to break so actually I'm pretty happy with that choice. I guess the only thing I would have liked would it been wiredless changing.

My Pixel 2 Fell and Broke so I went to the Pixel 3a. It is amazing . I find I can do everything i could with the pixel 2. Great value

I bought it. I love it. It's the perfect size and dimensions for pocketability and reachability. The OLED screen is rock solid. The audio is a pleasure to listen to. The purple-ish color with the chartreuse button is refreshing. Battery life is great. The camera is stellar. I'm coming from flagship devices such as the iPhone Xs Max, Note 9 etc. My last being a Moto Z3 running Pie also. I barely notice a difference in every day performance. I will never miss wireless charging (usually much slower) and the fragile glass back that goes along with it. I appreciate a slightly larger chin and forehead for gripping the phone during gaming and other landscape activities. 2 weeks and not a scratch on it. I did finally opt for a case and tempered glass screen protector. It's durable but not bulletproof. I would say this is a solid buy for a majority of the consumer market and I recommend it all the time to budget conscious customers tired of shelling out 700-1000 dollars every 1-2 years. And where else will you get an Android phone with 3 years of bleeding edge updates? Not to mention the option for Beta builds!

Dude! I find myself playing with my Pixel 3a, JUST for the haptics!

ALSO: Photos DO take longer to process, but they either process in the background while you're taking other photos or they don't process at all until you're done taking photos! I haven't noticed any slowdown due to the midrange SoC!
