Mick Tucker has to be the most underrated drummer ever!!! He was phenomenal, but sadly gone too soon.

Four talented musicians. So underrated.

That call and response vocal between lead singer Brian and bass player Steve was a big part of their act. It features in many of the big hits too like Fox on the Run, Blockbuster and many more...

Pat Benetar covered this song as her first single. Many have covered their songs.... This track is off the Album Sweet Fanny Adams and this video is taken from an unreleased special recorded for the German tv show Musikladen. If you want to see the drummer (Mick Tucker) at his best watch the "Man With The Golden Arm" footage from this show. One of the most under rated rock drummers ever.

Awesome band often overlooked and sadly forgotten, very heavy and ahead of their time, a big influence on the future of metal that came after.

Loved that you did this. The Musikladen 1974 show was great. Take a look at Solid Gold Brass, Sweet FA and The Six Teens. There are also Man with the Golden Arm which was written by Elmer Bernstein for the 1955 movie starring Frank Sinatra and Kim Novak. Shows how great musicians they were

Great band, awesome drumming from Mick Tucker RIP.

1:20 The lead singing was shared between Steve and Brian because Brian had been involved in a vicious attack that affected his vocal chords. Songs were written around the incident and Brians voice never recovered.

Jamel, as soon as I got the notification for this video I clicked on it. I have requested this song before. This is one of my favorites by Sweet. Normally I would say listen to the studio version but this Live version killed it. This shows how good Sweet really was. More songs to listen to that are rockers like this one are: AC-DC, The Sixteens, Solid Gold Brass, Sweet FA, Set Me Free and I Wanna Be Committed.

Steve (on base) sings the first few words then Brian (lead singer) comes in singing. These guys were great at singing in the same tone, so much so you can barely tell who's singing. I'm a Sweet fan from back in the 1970's.

So glad you’re getting into their harder stuff! By far one of my favorite bands. Try the song Action and Set me Free

The Sweet and Slade were two mid 70s British bands that a lot of us boys dismissed at the time because the girls all liked them, but in retrospect it's easy to see how brilliant they were.

You definitely need to react to all the songs that were played on this particular live performance. SWEET absolutely fucking rocked, they were the precursor to speed metal of the 80's.

The blonde lead singer Brian Connolly didn't sing lead on the record cause he got mugged and kicked in throat so the bass player Steve Priest sang it instead.
But as you can see in this this performance they alternate between the verses.
