What Colin Trevorrow, the creator of this movie said about some plot details about Jurassic. And I'm psyched : "This film picks up twenty-two years after Jurassic Park. When Derek [Connolly] and I sat down to find the movie, we looked at the past two decades and talked about what we’ve seen. Two things came to the surface. One was that money has been the gasoline in the engine of our biggest mistakes. If there are billions to be made, no one can resist them, even if they know things could end horribly.The other was that our relationship with technology has become so woven into our daily lives, we’ve become numb to the scientific miracles around us. We take so much for granted. Those two ideas felt like they could work together. What if, despite previous disasters, they built a new biological preserve where you could see dinosaurs walk the earth…and what if people were already kind of over it? We imagined a teenager texting his girlfriend with his back to a T-Rex behind protective glass. For us, that image captured the way much of the audience feels about the movies themselves. “We’ve seen CG dinosaurs. What else you got?” Next year, you’ll see our answer."

Jurassic World was open for 10 years before the events of this film, so that's 10 years of nothing bad happening, until people stopped coming. They made a genetic hybrid to get people interested in the park again, and that's where things go wrong.

I thought Jurassic World was like a reset? By calling it World instead of Park, effectively in this universe Jurassic Park never happened.

Apparently the official website had a lot of information about MANSARI company that is the global conglomerate that aquired the previous park and built this Jurassic world. It mentioned that the creation of the park was heavily monitored by governments and human/animal rights groups because of the events of the first three movies. So they did address your point of why they would create this world and why people would still go despite the events of the first three.

The silliest thing about the whole Jurassic Park concept, is the idea that humans wouldn't be able to keep dinosaurs contained. Come on! Yeah, they are big animals, but they're just animals. A t-rex is about the size of an elephant. I know, it's a movie, so don't over think it. But this aspect always bothered me a bit. We can go to the Moon, but can't keep an animal behind a fence? Come on!

Got 2 be real. On the basis of at least this first trailer, this movie looks like a literal rehash of the first film. It was like watching the 1993 original with a new 2014 paint job. Only redeeming things so far are Chris Pratt, the effects and Steven Spielberg as executive producer. That's not to say it won't be good. But unless another trailer actually wows me, I won't know for sure if it is.

Laura Dern was IN THE shit dude. Female lead.

Pratt will probably be a park employee responsible for "field" operations + resident guy with a boom stick. Kind like what Bob Pech did before he got eaten... but better and with pack of Velociraptor hounds.
Howard - scientist too focused on science of "IT'S ALIVE" to care about consequences in form of the Frankenzaurus munching on park employees/guests.

Extra kudos for bringing back BD Wong. That's nice.

I'm super excited for this movie. I love the premise, I love the people they got making it and starring in it, and I was skeptical about the whole training Raptors thing at first but after seeing it I love that too. It's just been so long. I need me some Jurassic Park in my life. 2015 can NOT come soon enough.

I'm excited to see this. I need to re-watch the Jurassic Park series though, its been a while. Looking forward to seeing Chris Pratt and Nick Robinson most. Chris, Have you see The Kings Of Summer starring Robinson? If not, I highly recommend it.
