Hey. Did a fair amount of tinkering and found the the 2.0 + 2.4 setting is not good. It really oversaturates skin and also the really poppy colours in your frame and therefore makes pictures generally difficult to take or frame. It'll either be really pleasing or really ugly and generally feel inconsistent, especially if your picture has a lot of dynamic range vis a vis highlights and shadows.

I've also realised the reason it feels "washed out" isn't that the colours are exactly desaturated. It's because the auto white balance isn't configured correctly and often fucks up in warm light. You'll notice that if you click a picture at 1.0-1.6 and just in post add a little bit of warmth in, it'll automatically be a better and more professional centred colour profile than if you take a photo directly at 2.0 + 2.4. This version really struggles with capturing warm colour temps.

Hey Sundar, at 3:54 you've mentioned that stock camera pic is more pleasing to the eye than compared to that of gcam and the dynamic range of gcam is better than stock one. So your problem can be solved just by doing *double exposure* or layering both these photos manually, similar to what HDR actually does. By doing this, your foreground will also be preserved and background too..

(Note: For that, you must click the pics from the same angle and same side, or else you'll get blurry, inconvenient images.)
