A youngster was 'extremely upset' after her payment for a EuroMillions ticket failed and she missed out on the prize of £182 million.
Rachel Kennedy, who was 19 at the time, was shocked to see a winning match notice pop up on the app after the draw on February 26, 2018.
She invited her mother and her boyfriend, 21-year-old Liam McCrohan, into the room, where the three of them discussed the implications of the news.
But her fantasies immediately shattered when a call to Camelot, the lottery's parent company, revealed that the ticket hadn't been automatically bought in advance since she only had £2.50 in her account.

If they had £2.50 in their account, then that should be enough. It only cost £2.50 a ticket. I don’t understand.

To be fair it was probably a good thing they didn't win, I think £182 million winning at 19 years, would have destroyed their lives. I don't think you have the mental maturity to handle that sort of amount of money at that age.

You only win it when the money is in your bank account to pay for ticket or when you receive a cheque from the National Lottery!
