Animal not returning in Forgotten Land is a huge missed opportunity since the common enemies in the game are literally wild animals.

I remember reading that Animal was planned for Forgotten Land. However, since the main enemy type for Forgotten Land were animals, damn near every enemy would have to give the Animal Copy Ability, so they just substituted it for Drill.

I don't think wild animals being the main enemy should have been the main problem with including Animal. There's already an Animal ability midboss, so it could have just been a miniboss exclusive, like Hammer used to be.
I always thought it wouldn't work because 2d digging would have been hard to make 3d, if at all, but Drill is a fun ability, so who knows. Maybe animal hats really would be too confusing.

You can get painter by swallowing a projectile from the chameleon mini boss in supermarket as well

Animal is Legit my favorite kirby ability so im sad it's only in the one game. Granted it's my favorite kirby Game but still. I miss animal.

I liked Cleaning from Star Allies being an upgrade of the broom one along with the other animal friends from the games it was in.

Poison is legitimately one of the best abilities in the series. It’s insanely overpowered.

Plasma was poised to be a replacement to Spark but ended up getting re-replaced by a superior version of Spark, only to be replaced by Plasma again… only for Spark to come back a second time. I wish they could just kick Plasma to the curb for good.

I love squeak squad abilities so much. magic, animal, cupid, and ghost are some of my favorites in the whole series

There are actually three bosses who give you painter in Super star, as one of Marx’s attacks can give it to you. It does like no damage to him though, so there’s no point in being able to get it from him anyway
