NATO nation warns of 'World War,' rejects Zelensky's membership bid amid Russia-Ukraine conflict

NATO nation and Vladimir Putin's 'friend' Hungary has warned that Ukraine's efforts to fast track membership of the military bloc could spark a world war. Hungary's minister Gergely Gulyas also spoke about how it would be difficult for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to secure a European Union membership too if he doesn't work on certain policies. His comments came as Russia continues its onslaught on Ukraine. In the past day, Russia reportedly shelled Kherson in south Ukraine 60 times. Watch this video for more details.

Ukraine war reminds me of the Iraq invasion by US under false justification. At least Russia has a point in not allowing more NATO (US) bases on its borders.
How could people ever thought that Russia would allow NATO (US) to keep building bases on its borders and do nothing?Or that Ukraine could win a war against Russia? Not even with NATO support. In a hypothetical situation, would US allow China or Russia to build bases on its borders? Remember Cuban missiles crisis?

I'm from hungary and I can confirm that Orbán gonna be the president for quite a long time thus these stands prob not gonna change anytime soon. It is totally understandable not helping Ukraine since he doesn't want to get into conflict with Russia as it didn't turn out well in the past. We still though accept the people who are fleeing but that's all. (In fact, one of the big reason he got elected again is because the other person who went against him in the elections, was very vocal about sending not just weapons but soldiers as well to Ukraine, and most people in the country didn't want that)

I am glad Hungary and Bulgaria have sensible leaders. NATO is not supposed to expand to Russia's border. If they don't keep their word then they are not an organization for Peace and should be dissolved. The current administration in the US is bringing misery to all the other countries.
