Bolted into paper thin pot metal. I reinforced my step with uni strut just for passengers to have a solid step. Those steps bend in the wind but a great template to reinforce.

Thanks bud. Do you think this will handle my double ski trailer ? The tounge weight is only like 70 lbs if I had to guess but maneuvering it may but a lot more force and I’m worried since the seat bracket ultimately just bolts back to the fiberglass. My plan is to just use it to back the skis into the driveway cause golf cart is better turning radius than my truck.

Is there a video you made that shows the step functionality? I bought the same hitch and even a step that goes into the receiver but I don’t see how this will help passengers step up since the step is will only be ~2 inches lower.

I'm confused. You showed how to mount the easy screws on the bottom but did not show the hardest part, mounting the longer bolts? Did i miss part 1 of this video? Also were there holes already existing in the bottom of the step plate that you bolted the hitch receiver to?

I just build one on mine 1” bolt through the hitch then welded it on top
And bottom.
