I like how Parallax's energy is yellow/green. In the comics, mixing will and fear is like trying to mix oil and water, but the will to act is often forged and motivated by fear... It makes sense that it would be super hard to balance, but not impossible. Hal was always very "by the book" and authority-driven when compared to Green Arrow, and it makes sense that he, of all people, would be able to mix fear and will into an authoritarian mindset (Forcing his will on others through fear) with the right push from the Parallax entity. It would be interesting to see other combinations of colors (where it would make sense) later down the line.

Hearing what Stewart said to Jordan while beating him up was some proof of his character development. He initially wanted nothing to do with the battles he was being brought into due to his traumatic experience in the war, until he learned to make peace with his inner demons, and put the past behind him.

The most powerful weapon in the universe able to create whatever the wearing can imagine and they create the most basic things such as blocks with large spikes, spiked fists swords and guns. I understand they are human but even a human can imagine more then those basic things.

The frustrating bit here is both Hal and John are my favourite GL characters following Rebirth... So sacrificing Hal in his first appearance within the new DCAMU film just to buff up John doesn't feel right at all.

Let alone going straight to him turning evil with next to no motivation or buildup (Taking the worst bits of Emerald Twilight or the Retcon about Parallax from Rebirth), along with mostly ditching everything about John's comic origin (Mashing Hal and Kyle's together in a messy execution) which made him becoming Green Lantern unique.

I don't think it's a good movie, and probably should have been rewritten a few more times or extended to be longer than 85 minutes to better explain some of the other plot elements that just get brushed aside.

My hopes for this animated universe is that Hal comes back later on just like in the comics and maybe we can get a big crossover movie with him like Geoff Johns green Lantern run or just Blackest Night. I feel that if they cared enough to do his arc possessed by parallax that they may bring the character full circle later on.

i enjoyed the movie, this Hal Jordan twist was bad only because this meant the real Hal Jordan died, without any farewell. Even if we barely met him in the movie, he’s an important JL member and friend to the members.

And this is why John Stewart is my favourite Green Lantern. He embodies the power of will so well. Though my favourite corpse will always be the Blue Lantern Corpse.

Think they rushed to quickly to a big villain like Parallax. They completely skipped Sinestro and his Corps. The depiction of Parallax is weak and unfrightening, Hal got taken down by a fuckin fresh newbie and didn't seem as powerful as he should while carrying an Entity. The multiple rings make no sense, I thought they flew off to find new bearers when the current one dies

I really liked the movie but it would have been better if Hal Jordan had been helping fight Parallax from the inside.

You know, ever since I watched this, I always wonder if we’ll ever see any other mixed lanterns that fit the context really well. Like forcing your will on others through fear is such a cool concept I wish we get more of something like this, because Lantern Corps power has such a huge potential to expand.
