Morgan brought the beginnings of this song with him when he moved to Nashville. He finished it with legendary Nashville songwriter Craig Wiseman and the rest is history. For this to be his first self written song that went to #1 just shows he’s doing what he was born to do. He is an amazing talent. Keep going down the MW rabbit hole and also check out Morgan’s best friend Hardy. He’s the biggest and most sought after songwriter in Nashville and has written #1’s for Morgan too (Sand In My Boots, My Hometown, Up Down) Hardy has some awesome music of his own as well. Check out Wait In The Truck, A Rock, mockingbird and The Crow.

Almost everyone who sees this version of "Wasted..." becomes a fan. Wasted is 4X Platinum from 2021. Equally, if not more impressive is his Jason Isbell cover of "Cover Me Up" on the Taste of Country YouTube channel; acoustic, which is likewise 4X Platinum. Take your pick.

This song Chasin' You just went 5X Platinum two days ago. This song was the #1 ranked country song by (sales and streams) via Billboard for the entire year of 2020. In total, Morgan Wallen has now 44 certified songs and albums: Gold, Platinum, or Multi Platinum led by Whiskey Glasses, which is 7X Platinum. As far as I can find, no other country artist in history has had as many certified songs as Morgan Wallen (not true tho when adding albums and songs together; George Strait, for instance had 40 albums certified and 30 songs).
