Turbo oil seal was leaking so I starved my timing chain tensioner and my chain slapped the block put a hole in it and it shot a chunk of piston out the hole

Turbo oil seal was leaking so over time I starved my timing chain tensioner making it lock up and my chain skipped then slapped the block put a hole in it and it shot a small chunk of piston out the hole 🙃

If this is an N26 you should look into BMW’s SULEV warranty. Depending on the part and where you live, you may be covered up to 150k miles depending on what went wrong. Dealership will have to contact BMW directly and confirm if a part on the warranty list was the cause before anything can be fixed. This only applies to our N26’s, N2O’s lucks out at the standard 70k.
