Originally published at YouTube on March 14, 2016. Recorded and released in 1964, R&B and jazz artist Georgie Fame and his band, the Blue Flames, took the UK by storm with "Yeh Yeh" which sailed to #1 in January 1965. A month
later it was released in the United States, entering the charts on February 13, 1965. It peaked at #21 on Billboard and at #17 on Cash Box for two weeks on March 20, 1965. The song is distinctively different from those of other British bands that found popularity in the US during the early wave of the British Invasion of '64 and '65 in that it has a prominent saxophone section and sax solo, reminiscent of the rock n' roll sax sound of the 1950's. By 1964, most rock bands had abandoned the use of the sax in favor of guitar
tabs, chords, and solos, although some like The Zombies and The Animals still held tight to their keyboard players. "Yeh Yeh" is now a wonderfully retro melody and evokes images
from the 50's and the early 60's equally well. Hope this music video is smooth enough for you ... like the song!

This is a good one but should get more views. It's a real popper, so pop it up!
