A Watch Fit for a King - The Regal Formex Malachite

Formex returns with their best dial, the Malachite. Malachite is a green copper mineral with random lines and color shades that makes for amazing jewelry and watches. The Formex Malachite dial is only released about once per year, and is done in small batches. As it is produced in limited numbers, the demand is always quite high.

There are so many great unique materials used for watch dials. I don't own any stone dials but I do own mother of pearl and meteorite. Meteorite is definitely my favorite. Have you ever thought of it for any of your watches?

Those are two beauties. Formex is very much making a name for itself. Clever engineering as well as great fit and finish. I have an Essence 39 it's definitely comparable to an entry level luxury watch from bigger brands. That malachite is particularly striking.

I want the MOP dial, but I already have the black dial 43mm Essence. The only problem with these is resale value. It is hard to sell these. If it were easier I would buy the MOP dial with gold hands right now. Formex makes an incredible watch. I have an Omega Aqua Terra, and this is just as good for a third the price.

The Formex Essence 39, be it on its steel bracelet or the OEM leather strap, is an extremely good watch.

The suspension mechanism has no real practical use, unless you wear your watch under the wristbone, but it’s part of the brand USP

i wish I had chosen the right dial when I bought the first Essence during the Kickstarter campaign about 5 years ago.. non Chronometer but only $500 on leather (think the chrono was maybe $300 more). Flipped it
