Kuo Lien Ying's Dan Dao Saber form, , Lesson #5

In Lesson 4, we learned the Unwrapping and forward slice fundamental exercise in preparation for these next four move in Master Kuo Lien Ying's Saber form. In lesson #5 we progress into the next four movements that incorporate slicing, blocking and kicks.
These moves are part of the Taolu (fixed form) but can also be practiced individually for free form moves.
But in keeping with my efforts to preserve Master Kuo's legacy, I am presenting these as they were taught by Master Kuo in Portsmouth Square, San Francisco.

I agree with Ralf about the quality of the video. I'm not attempting to learn the saber, but always appreciate the teaching. Just want to add: whenever you do the slicing strike and raise your arm to block, I am grateful you know what you're doing!

This is as always an absolutely fantastic video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on social media. I have a question: my plan is to learn Kuo Lien Ying's Guang Ping Tai Chi form after I have safely mastered the ten Tan Tui forms. Only after that would I move on to the weapons forms. Does this sequence make sense or is it possible to mix learning content at will.
