Except the pencil. But why make your eyebrows look fuller, thicker -- OMG, I sound like a hair tonic commercial.

If your eyebrows are dark and full, they contrast your eye shadow and complement long eye lashes. If you have thin eyebrows, people will realize the mascara is fake.

Why the focus on the eyes?

The eyes are considered the window to the soul. Doe-like, liquid eyes can lure a man in.

So do the glowing lures on top of deep sea fish. Once you get in close, you realize it is all a trap.

They are doing it to look beautiful.

Then why do some girls literally shave off their existing eyebrows before drawing them back on?

Because pencil mixed with hair can smear or look bad. An entirely penciled in brow will look perfect, because there is no hair to mess it up.

Women do some strange things in the name of beauty.

Getting rip roaring drunk and making fools of themselves, joining a band, taking up adventure sports and often getting seriously hurt, tattoos with her name on it.
