I love Norman Reedus, shame the book wasn't better but not all that surprising.

I have been waffling about buying this book at full price and I think I will hold off for now. I don't really enjoy "filler" vibes and super loose endings 😳 I do think its really cool that Norman Reedus wrote a book though.

I love Norman, and have followed his career since 1997 when I first saw him in the movie "Floating". Unfortunately I thought this book sucked. I wonder how much of the writing was his and how much was Frank Bill, whoever he is.

Yeah I won't be reading this one- great review Holly- it's good to have a bluntly honest review.
On a happier note, I've just started reading The lies of Locke Lamora and I'm loving it so far.

Hunter sounds like he’s based off of Norman in real life :/

I think he decided to write this book in a art kind of perspective compare to a author, if that make sense

I 100% understand your concern with the use of that R word you mentioned, as it is used in a very derogatory way all too often. For me its all about how is the word used in the book, as in does it come across as the author just not caring about how that word affects people, or is the author using this in a way that is supposed to set up the character and what the character is like. It can be a difficult line to balance, like many other things as well ie LGBTQ issues in books can come across as the overall tone of the book can be negative, (ie song master by orson scott card is a good example) hostile or positive and supportive, but the author can also write characters that may be hostile or negative to LGBTQIA+ community, while not having the tone of the book itself feel that way. I think the same can be said or done for that R word or any other derogatory slang term. overall good review and I am glad i watched
