Woman Is Denied Her $8 Million Jackpot By The Casino For The Most Outrageous Reason

If you’re a gambler, then no matter what your favorite game is at the casino – if you end up being declared a winner, you expect to be paid. However, for one Portland, Oregon woman named Veronica Castillo, she unfortunately had to learn the hard way that this isn’t always the case.

After a trip to the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester, Washington, Veronica was left stunned when the casino staff refused to pay her the jackpot that she had just won while playing on one of their slot machines.

So what happened? Well, the truth behind this bizarre scenario is stranger than any fiction…

Well I must say, people should understand they cannot win 8 million dollars playiing on a machine that says max payout is only $20, 000 ( and in her case & bet $6000.00 ). Take this into account and there was an OBVIOUS malfunction. If the machine had of read $6000.00 win and said it was a malfuntion THEN I would have sued.

I guarantee that if she "accidentally made a mistake" at the casino and she lost $8, 000, 000, they would definitely not take the money.

Why do the machines never malfunction when you’re losing???

Do not play on slot machines where the Casino will deny payout on a malfunction. Because you could be losing a lot of money on a malfunction and never know it. Ask the Casino to check it prior to playing and get results in writing, if not then move on down the road.

She should at least get the maximum for the bet she placed… $6000

And yet people still throw their money at these scammers everyday. Not me. I love my money too much.

So if it was malfunctioning, how about all those people who lost their money on that machine?

If casino had not serviced the machine properly, and the actual sum is up for debate, she should at least be offered the maximum 20K pending an independant forensic investigation.
Give her the money!

I changed the lyrics to a local casino commercial. "The Lame Dumbass Casino", great beers, food and fun, it's "The Lame dumbass casino".

If it’s a malfunction, why does the display go up to 6 million? Shouldn’t it only be able to display the maximum amount you can win?

That’s why I don’t gamble because those casinos are happy if you lose your hard earned money on them but if you win they won’t give you a penny. Casino’s will ruin your financial life, they make sure that when you play there games that you’re not there to win your there to loose. That’s why it’s better to just keep your hard earned money in the bank and leave it there. Don’t gamble, don’t do drugs, sex, and alcohol will keep you poor. Amen.

In case of such a failure, they should pay the amount the machine would normally give when you hit the Jackpot! So, if this machine had a maximum of $6.000 the way She played, the casino should have paid her $6.000

Once bet a quarter and won 200... Collected my winnings, and walked away... Never gambled again, and yes I bet JUST a quarter.

At the very minimum they should give her 6k

Interesting, my ex-boyfriend and I went to Vegas about 9 years ago when we were together, we were in one of the casinos there. He was playing poker ( which he was good at ) the pot was a little over $25 grand. They tried to screw him out of his winnings, he said go ahead and try it, he then said I grew up here and I know a lot of the right people along with two memebers of the gaming commission. He went on to say I'll call them right now at home and report you and this casino, the casino paid him ( us ) the $25 grand. Some casinos will try and screw you if they think you don't know any better.
