I love Amazon...not gonna lie. I dont care if its capitalism at its finest...when stores are out of something...I can ALWAYS find it on Amazon....a lot of times cheaper too because of the non-retail mark-up

Wow, even the CEO does a desk job 2 days every 2 years to be fair to his employees? Wow, all CEO's should get their hand dirty once in a while, thats the best CEO ever!

What I fail to understand is why they still have people running around collecting the merchandize by hand in the warehouse AND THEN want to use robots to the later stages of delivery. Seems to me that the real savings could be found by having robots at the warehouse like so many other companies with big warehouses have.

I feel bad for anyone at Amazon who has to find the items I ordered, because my items are never in the same department... I must be hated by Amazon employees

Hahaha about the joke on Walmart! And I'm still glad few items on Amazon are still free tax! Even after Walmart and other companies went crying that Amazon needs to tax people! I totally love Amazon! Prime member since day one!!!

I can say in all honesty as an (ex)Amazon worker, stowers and packers walk around 15-20 miles a day, depending on the department and floor your on, if your on international shipping it's usually only about 7-10 as there is only 2 lanes of that. And you feel like it's longer as you are not aloud to sit down at any time other then the lunch break. On the plus side when I last worked there (for 5 months) I lost 3 stone.

Ambassadors are people that watch and train temps during the peak holiday season. Basically under paid "management", they don't get any extra pay for it. Never saw a customer service desk. The drone delivery idea was a bomb. They kept getting lost or shot down...

I used to work in a Zappos/Amazon warehouse, and I can account for: The warehouses being HUGE (it took about 4 minutes to walk quickly from one side to the other on a good day), they didn't call them pick ambassadors where I worked but they were called pickers, and yes, they walk a TON. Ugh, I miss working there.

0:36 I don't think they missed that many sales, most of the people who would have bought something probably just waited for the site to come back on so that they could buy it later. They didn't just give up completely if the site was down lol

A 3 billion dollar credit limit? Yeah, I would find a realtor and ask: how much for the houses on this block. Yeah, I'll take both sides of the street. May as well throw in the grocery store at the the end of the street and the car dealership also.
Oh, and you take Visa right?

From what I've read, they've also got a terrifyingly high employee turnover due to mismanagement and overworking their employees.

I have worked for Amazon for two years and have never worked in customer service. Also an ambassador is the trainer. They have to do the main job such as picking however get to take a break from it here and there to train new people. Someone who does the job of picking is called a picker.
