I see this guy using numbers with 0 in the middle for simplicity so I'll paste this here.

What happens if second number isn't 0.

You use large number multiplication.

For instance 7% of 239
7x200 = 1400
7x30 = 210
7x9 = 63
And then you just add the numbers.
Easy method is to write them in a column like this
1 4 0 0
0 2 1 0
0 0 6 3
And add columns from right to left. Don't forget to carry over if the sum of the column is greater than 9.

So this becomes 1673. And since you are searching for percentage you divide by 100.
So the answer here is 16.73.

I just saw that 10% is a little more than 10…so 6% is a little more than 6. It’s works for this one because no other answers are close 😂
