I have the Ecovacs and initially thought the voice commands were just a gimmick, but found myself using it more and more.

One thing with the Roborock's voice command via Google Assistant. "Clean <room>" will drag the mop pad, I didn't wait to see if it starts to wet it from the vacuum cause I stopped it as soon as I saw it do it. So be clear on what you want it to do, either "mop <room>" or "vacuum <room>"
Hopefully that helps.

Also, I've got the drying module for my Roborock. And it seems to not work when it returns from a "Vac & Mop" job. It cleans the mop, empties the dustbin, then just sits there. I tried talking to support about it but I think they are confused about what's going on. So I guess I'll just never use the "Vac & Mop" option. Otherwise I'd have to manually turn the dryer module on each time.

Personally, i would prefer to say a command and just here a response. Don’t want to wait for a response after saying ok eco. It’s the thing i hate most about Bluetooth and all this voice activated crap. Takes too long. Just tell it what to do and it confirms then does it. Also, still waiting for a video on which robot that isn’t a million dollars will get pet hair from plush carpet rather than just push it in further

Which one would you chose roborock S7 V Max vs Dreame L10S Ultra? Thanks!

Ummmm wouldn't that just suck the wet liquid into the dust bin and make a huge mess to clean?

The Roborock can clean selective rooms via Google home, and you can change its suction power as well. You can't change whether its mopping, vacuumimg or mopping and vacuuming together. Whatever you last used via the app is what it will do again when a voice command is given. So if there's stones on the floor and you send it to clean a you last used mopping, if will mop again and drag those stones around. Google and Alexa are also tempermantal, they hear something similar to what you ask....but if you ask #return to dock# it will mishear words like #dark# not #dock#. That gets frustrating and you just start shouting abuse at it :L

Alright so which one is overall better? My carpets are too high for the s7 maxv's lifting mop so either way I'll be manually taking the mops off both. I like the design and the much quieter motor/
operation of the ecovacs. I like the roborock app better and have seen some bugs here and there from the ecovacs but not sure if that should deter me.

Assuming price doesn't matter which one is overall better for someone that will be manually taking the mops of either one?

We have a fake wood floor, like a laminate with a center MDF core swells if water gets between the planks. So I'm concerned about the amount of water that the mops put down. What's worse is there is a bevel gap feature between planks, so the mop action may result in water collecting between the planks. Would this be an issue with either of these?

so you did one single test and it was one that these robots are not supposed to be used for...

The Roborock looks unfinished. It looks like it should have some kind of cover. Maybe they will come up with one and charge another $100
