Since the implementation of GST, a question has been arising in the minds of most people that why petrol and diesel were kept out of the purview of GST? In response to this question, no concrete answer has been received from the GST Council till date. However, recent developments indicate that the GST Council may consider bringing petroleum products under the ambit of GST.
