I'd like to see some telephoto pics from around the rover. The wide angle is amazing and much more useful, but the images are warped and I'd just like to see a few normal pics. :) FYI, I'm not a camera guy so if I'm using the wrong terminology I apologize.

How do they mitigate the dust build up on those camera lens covers? Are there covers that open when taking pictures and then close again after?

I was in highschool in when Viking landed. Remember the pictures being very muddy.

Wow the Viking digital cameras were the equivalent of old ffg ilm photography where you had to sit very still for about 15 min or more for it to expose you properly. Could you imagine a digital camera in the mid 60s. Where everyone has to sit still till it scanned every part of the sensor. Then you could move and slowly the camera pieces the photo together

Viking photos look sharper more detailed. Never know what to believe is the real colour of martian landscape.
