I love that she asked if Mia wanted Darren and Sienna to know because most of the time the parent who is told first tells anyone and everyone they want so if you are a parent whose child has just gotten their period or might be soon please ask for their consent because while it is nothing to be ashamed of it is still private and with the amount of courage it might have taken just for them to tell you I can’t imagine how hard it would be if your parent starts calling and texting everyone about it. I started when I was thirteen and when I told my mom and we chatted about it she asked if I consented to telling certain people and to this day (I am 17) I am so grateful my mom was so considerate of my preferences and didn’t tell everybody. ♥️
