You mentioned taxes. I am 71, and I have been retired for 1 year. Most of my income is Social Security that I paid into all my working life. I now owe $3000 in income tax to the feds. They tax the money they send me.

Regarding taxes, we could fix this. Step 1, prepare you tax forms on paper. Step 2 mail them on April 15th. If everyone did this, the IRS would be so overwhelmed that they would just give up. Nothing illegal here; follow the rules; play the game. There is no way the IRS could handle the flood of tax returns. The other option is to do what the Polish people did. That was a general strike. No revenue, no government. I am not suggesting that, but it did work.
