These MCP41010 digital potentiometers came in the mail. Let's talk about what we can do with them.

Great pacing and clarity in your speech. You've got a very natural nack for instructing.

That's right, Rob. I hope to sweep the pot up and down and find the lowest and highest resistance that detects the tone. Then I will park setting half way between the two. Don't know if it will work, but it will be fun trying. "If everything works perfect the first time, I won't have learned anything new."

I'm looking forward to messing around with these new chips that came in the mail.

I was wondering if you might be able to give my some advice.  Im just learning about Digital Pots and I know that there are some IC's that contain 2 digipots in one package.  What I'd like to do though is be able to use one digipot  and be able to control 2 seperate things.  For example using a rotary encoder with push button to control  squelch and gain on a radio.  The button press should let me change between the two.  Just not sure how to wire the single potentiometer to control multiple outputs like that.     I know thats a lot to ask but thought i'd give it a shot.  Thank you ever so much

Hey Budd, are you planning on programming the Arduino to detect the incoming center frequency, then automatically adjust the digital potentiometer to lock on to that frequency?
