The coaster types that can crash are the best for the simple reason that they challeng you to design them intelligently. If you master these kinds of coasters, your design of others coasters will dramatically improve as well.

If I may offer a few helpful tips and pointers for beginners and less experienced players:
1.) As a general rule, most, if not all of the track should be downhill, or feature helixes that spiral downwards. Altogether, your track design should be no less than 1, 214 feet, or excitement ratings will be sharply penalized (I believe Marcel Vos stated they'd be halved).
2.) If you wish to curb speed, consider using upwards helixes or even brake sections if necessary. Just make sure that at some point during the ride, the vehicles reach speeds of 26 mph, or excitement penalties will likewise be incurred.
3.) Meeting the lateral G requirements should not be a problem, but make sure that most -- if not all -- of your turns are banked so that these ratings do not run into the red. By using banked turns, you're converting the kinetic forces of lateral G's into positive vertical G's.
4.) Do not -- I repeat, *DO NOT* -- use bunny hills to induce sharp negative vertical G forces; as these vehicles are not tracked, they can -- and will -- fly off the course if they reach speeds in excess of 31 mph. For general reference, this occurs when a full train descends from a 35 and 40 drop and hits an incline. An "x factor" that Marcel Vos pointed out in this video that I will emphasize is that a fully loaded train will have an _increased_ mass, and will therefore have a higher kinetic energy when descending these hills, as well as carry stats differently than it would as an empty train during a test run. This goes for all roller coasters incidentally, but it is especially crucial to keep these metrics in mind while constructing a Bobsleigh coaster.

Marcel, these are absolutely incredible videos. Really looking forward to your next entry.

Im not gonna lie, I absolutely love this coaster. Moneywise its tough, but I usually play in no momey mode in open rCt2. My local six flags has a bobsled coaster, the alpine bobsled, and its my favorite ride. I think its something about not being confined to a single track with bobsleds that i love. I love to make these.

I freaking love your ride overview videos. They help so much to improve gameplay, and are like the perfect educational content (and it's even very short and concise!) I hope you find motivation to keep making them to this day, there are many coasters not yet covered and I yearn for them!

I know a lot of people hate building these but honestly I love them.

I hope you noticed that RCT2 on Steam mentioned you in their 15-07-2018 news!
I was so excited when I saw that. :-)

I love to build these. They suck as a money maker, but they're so much fun to build. If you start with a lift hill, just make sure it will always go down. If you have to go up, use upward spirals. A very braindead design is to just do a single drop and go the rest of the way through downward spirals.
My favorite thing is to build them on top of a hill and make the cars/trains drop as soon as they leave the station. The cars then are chain lifted back to the station at the end of the ride. Cars will gain speed as they go down in the track and go up the chain at some speed, making the overall ride faster, which helps it's terrible throughput.

And dude, they look like so much fun to ride.

What I wanna know is why we can't strap some sandbags in there to test the full weight

1:05 Hey, I know that one! That's the Swiss Bob Ride from Heidepark, I rode it a few weeks ago :D

Even if the stats are trash, it's super fun in real life

This is probably the coaster type that improved the most from RCT2 to RCT3. With death (therefore hills causing flying trains) not being an option in the latter, this now gets sloped banked turns, banked S turns and Steep slopes. A lot more versatile in RCT3

I personally don't mind this coaster. Money-making/capacity wise it is bad, but I really like the look of it. I try to not make the chain lift very high otherwise this coaster can be very long, and I try to use it on hills or cliff faces and build some of the track underground. It is tricky to build, but I like it anyway. I don't think I would build it my first time doing a scenario, but when doing one again I sometimes try to fit one in. My least favorite coaster is probably the Mini Suspended Coaster.

The reason why people think that it can fly off the track during high speed unbanked turns is because it actually happens in RCT3

Can you do multidimensional coaster, please? I believe it's one of the hardest coasters and the only one so far I'm struggling to get even decent stats.

your videos are so good dude. I don't know why i enjoy seeing the most efficient layout for rides but i find it so entertaining and interesting. thanks for all the work you put in on these i get so excited when i see a new one!

Loving the series! I'll be coming back to watch this to check the designs. Building a roller coaster is hard, and it feels like there's always something more to learn.

0:54 I've actually had a bobsleigh coaster crash when having it perform an absurd number of downward spirals. I recall making it basically as high as it would let me (base RCT2) then downward spirals all the way down. Somewhere around half way, it crashed and the cars all went off in different directions.

I love how the most replayed part of the video is the "little circle coaster go brrr" part xD
