France also agreed with that non-NATO expansion in 1990, they were part of the negotiations. In exchange, the USSR accepted Germany to re-unite and that about 400, 000 soviet soldiers leave Eastern Europe. They did so, without shooting one single bullet, so that Germany, and Europe, leave in peace again. The USSR & Russia did their part of the deal...

Why don't you get Dr. Jeffrey Sachs on the pod to discuss this? I doubt that anyone knows it better than him.

Key error - Revolution of Dignity, which was 2014 revolution when Yanukovich fleet to Russia was NOT because of joining NATO. It began in response to President Yanukovych's decision not to sign a political association and free trade agreement with the European Union (EU), instead choosing closer ties to Russia. Earlier Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) had overwhelmingly approved finalizing the agreement; Russia had pressured Ukraine to reject it.

As an Irish man in Russia since 2007, who is not a huge history fan, but a believer of truth, your video presents history, truth, Putin, war, strength and commercial interests very well. Thanks.

Don't forget the fuckery of the CIA setting up in Ukraine immediately after WW2.

You're completely incorrect on the nuclear weapons. Ukraine never had nuclear weapons. The Soviet Union had nuclear weapons that were stationed in the territorial. What became Ukraine? These weapons were controlled and belonged to Soviet Union to Russian federation. Was the successor state to the Soviet Union. Not Ukraine, there was no ownership by ukraine at any point and never would have been. This is a red herring that keeps on being brought up by westerners. That don't understand history.. So let's review that Ukraine never owned or controlled. Nuclear weapons and Ukraine never would have owned work controlled nuclear weapons. The ownership along to the show the Union. The nuclear codes were in Moscow and the ownership transferred automatically to the Russian federation when the Soviet Union. What's today's end of story.

Marc Endeweld wrote in his book "Les raisons secrètes de la guerre en Ukraine" where he says that the main reason America rejected Russia's application to join NATO was that Russia was too strong and would be an invincible competitor on world stage.
