After being backed into a corner, Boruto Uzumaki, while using the power of Momoshiki's Karma seal to fight off Code, the lone remaining member of Kara, Boruto's karma seal has undergone an evolution. Armed with this new power and in full control of his bodily functions, BoruShiki version 2 quickly charges into battle against Code and the level of power quickly makes one thing clear, if Code isn't careful, Boruto very well might destroy him. I really like how naruto was able to be in sage mode longer due to "the wisdom of age". It was a small comment but it made naruto feel like an actual sage and more mature.

I like Code’s claw mark, ngl. It’s a flashy jutsu and I like it. Btw, BoruShiki V2 and Kawaki are fighting code with limiters and he hasn’t gone serious yet. But Sage Mode Naruto and Shikamaru joining the party might change a few things.

Seeing Boruto pull Code from those marks was pretty cool. Also, I think it’s setting up Boruto to get taken instead of Kawaki. This will in term cause Kawaki to have Amado give him another karma and try and find Boruto

This chapter was freaking awesome, I loved that you addressed Boruto questioning how Code knows about the medication. That was the highlight of the chapter to me because it sets up sooo much.

as for the chapter questions

1) i didn’t mind naruto telling hinata to stay back, both as a father and hokage it made sense. As a father it was to make sure boruto and hima aren’t left orphans after this ordeal. As hokage, leaving her behind as maybe potentially back up could work if for some reason naruto would need more than shikamaru

2) i liked boruto using strategy in the fight but i wish he used his byakugan and more diverse jutsu, i feel like when the anime adapts this they’ll add more taijutsu and flashy stuff

I 100% respect naruto for telling her to stay back yes because of hima and boruto but also because I’m pretty sure naruto remembers the fight against pain so he knows she won’t give up even more so when it comes to naruto so that was a good judgment call but all I know is code vs naruto and shikamaru is going to be insane and I do remember hinata dad saying if he awakens his eye to send him over for training so I wanna see if they act on that too

Naruto was low key flexing on Shikamaru. He had to kind of g check him by telling Himawari that she forgot who her father was. 😭😭

Kishimoto is definitely building up to Code defeating Naruto in a fight and leaving with Kawaki.
Kawaki claims he's doing everything for Lord Seventh, so if Naruto gets defeated, Kawaki will easily leave with Code.
And after what Himawari asked Naruto, Naruto Explained will need a million likes to make Himawari smile

Great chapter and great review as per usual. There is already a huge constant argument in the community about what the karma seal can and can't absorb and this chapter is gonna stoke that fire so much more now. I just want people to remember that Amado was making the cyborgs specifically to fight against the karma seal and osutstuki abilities. We know he made Koji specifically to try and kill Jigen. So it's not unlikely that he made Code's straps to use his blood SPECIFICALLY so that the karma couldn't absorb it.
