ControlNET canny support for SDXL 1.0 is finally here. In this Stable Diffusion XL 1.0 tutorial I'll show you how to use ControlNet to generate AI images using SDXL 1.0 in ComfyUI. ControlNet allows you to give an input image using which you can control the pose, composition and more of the generated Stable Diffusion output along with your text prompt. ControlNet official support will still take time for Stable Diffusion XL 1.0 but this video should help you install and use ControlNet Canny in SDXL 1.0 in ComfyUI.

If you are running into this error "body.0.block2.weight" make sure to restart ComfyUI.
Also, even though so far there is only a canny model, you can right click the loaded image and use "Open in MaskEditor" to effectively turn it into a scribble model. Just be sure to connect the Mask output to a "Convert Mask to Image" node and use that as your image input for controlnet.

If I have sd1.5 controlnet models do they not work on sdxl? I can still select them in automatic1111

8Gb Vram limit is hit with my 2080Super sadly :( How much more Vram than using a normal SDXL workflow does the controlnet pass require?

Nice but horrible loading time, and the precision is kinda weird, no matter how i change the threshold there are some outlines that are just not appearing on the canny map
