Bob is now pixelated, but still confused about why, in this ultra-advanced future society, people still have to pay money for health care. In "Bob to the Future Part III: Scarcity Is Real and Not Going Away" our intrepid hero learns the importance of allocating resources... from a chicken.

Scarcity is real. There is a scarcity of Bob and we should allocate more resources for Freedom Toons.

Hypnotizing chickens is not usually difficult. All you have to do is put your finger under the end of their beak and tilt their head upward slightly. More aggressive chickens are more resistant, but many will totally trance out while their heads are forcefully tilted upward. Weird, but true

All it requires is, ... taxing the rich.
All it requires is, ... belt tightening by the poor.
All it requires is, ... the powerful using power on the powerless.

Small gripe: the way your describing opportunity cost could lead people to believe it is the sum of all other options, when really it is just the total benefits of the next best alternative.

He's still in Antarctica and it's green yet Portland is a desert... Think about it, it's probable that the desert latitude and rainforest latitudes have moved up thanks to global warming (if they managed it correctly that is, otherwise the rainforest would also retreat) so instead of 25° they may be at 50° and that explains both Antarctica green and Portland as a desert

opportunity cost is the value of the next best option, not all other options.

The pixel art is cool and all but I much prefer the paper style

Something people forget when they point to socialism in Star Trek is, they have avoided almost all scarcity with space magic. Even with it, there's still limits on what they can do, they get rations to use on the replicators lol

What do most people need in life other than food, good real estate, education, healthcare, means of transportation and entertainment? These things are in abundance and SHOULD BE FREE, rather than having people set prices for them only to profit. If anything, as an economist, you should know about the concept of the "deadweight loss" of profit, where if you put taxes on a good, the price will increase, leading to the consumer, the seller and the government losing out on potential money. Capitalism is just deadweight loss for consumers. Also, we can gauge demand for products without prices. You make it sound as if prices are needed to gauge what people want to consume, but that's not true, prices are just used to see what good being sold would be profitable for the seller, not to determine what people want to buy. For example, if you fill a grocery store with various goods, some goods will be bought out while others will remain on the shelves, this means that the grocery stores will start supplying less of it to consumers because it' not profitable, however this doesn't mean that this can't also be done without the incentive for profit, all it takes is analysis. What I'm trying to say is that, people mostly just wing it under capitalism too.

Actually the medical cost today is done out of uncontrolled manipulation of prices the cost of the product and service dosent equal the cost on the bill

First of all, scarcity won't go alway, but will surely drop to minuscle levels, people would have entire solar systems of resources available to them, and second, scarce or not, things wouldn't cost anything simply because nobody would be working in anything to be paid simply because robots would do everything and robots don't want a salary.
