I'd like to point out one thing.

This movie is not gonna be about time reversal or time travel...It is about the literal inversion of time.

The pattern i see in these trailers is the focus on mathematical symmetry. Reversal is just one of many aspects of symmetry, and i think this movie is going to capitalize on at the very least, the symmetry of inversion and by proxy, chirality, which is a defining characteristic of inversion.

Inversion implies chirality, which as an example can be though of like this: Putting both hands out in front of you, you can't just take a line between your hands because it's not symmetric in the X plane, you can't even flip your hands because it's not symmetric in the Y plane either. Your hands literally do not have symmetry with one another other than that they are chiral, and thus your left hand is an identical, but inverse version of your right hand.

So for this movie, i think we will be seeing an interpretation from Nolan that is about the inversion...chirality of time. Think about time like this :

Event A triggers Event B triggers Event C triggers event D triggers event E.
A->B->C->D->E

an inversion of this sequence of events would be

A->D->C->B->E

Where DCB is the inversion of BCD.

An inversion can get pretty crazy, in that we could have Inversions WITHIN other inversions. If you ask me what i think Nolan is doing, it's this layering effect of inversion upon inversion, where you do things before they happen, and you do the things you did in the past, later.
