Geography crosses many disciplines. In this session, you’ll explore Google Geo tools for lessons and student content creation. We’ll explore Google Earth Projects, Google My Maps, and Google Arts & Culture to give students enriched learning experiences that opens minds, teaches perspective, and sparks curiosity. As the global pandemic settles, students can use these tools to give voice to the lessons learned through engaging teacher-driven lessons and student content creation that fosters a better understanding of our world.
About the speaker:
Nathan Gildart is an MYP Individuals & Societies / DP History Teacher and Department Head at Nagoya International School in Japan, teaching in a 1:1 environment for 22 of 25 years teaching. A former technology coach back in the classroom, he is an educational technology geek who employs a wide range of digital tools to differentiate and enrich learning.
Gildart is a Google Earth Education Expert., a Google for Education Certified Trainer, Google Certified Innovator, a Google Educator Group Leader, YouTube Certified, a Book Creator Ambassador, and an Adobe Education Leader,. He has been a featured speaker/blog contributor for Google Partner companies, has trained international school faculties in Japan, and presented around the Asia-Pacific region.
