I’ve worked in security for years, blokes looking like GOW Thor put the fear of God in you more then men who look like MCU Thor ever could. Massive, strong as an ox, could take a sledge hammer to the face and shrug it off. These kind of guys are seriously built different.

The old Norse sources never really tell us much about him, all we know is that he has a beard, a magic belt and gloves and that he’s a big guy with a bigger appetite, which as much as want it to, doesn’t really describe that well if he’s like Chris Hemsworth or if he was more like the one in got of war because Vikings were too busy invading weaker peoples to care about if one of their 3 or 4 really important gods was fat or not

And Don't forget that in Norse mythology, it is a Mythology that deals with alot of eating and feasting. Like in Valhalla, thats what the gods do all the time, and Thor is known to eat 2 whole goats everyday. And finally, there is a story where Thor drinks so much of the ocean that he reduces it to a noticeable level. So he needs space to put it all. So this depiction of Thor is accurate and refreshing
