The way you teach music theory has helped me not only with the guitar but also with the piano. 5R3 is really amazing to work with. Thank you.

...as for the "...strange way of looking at music..." comment: This is the most clear method I have seen--where SEEN (drawn out) is the key for me. I can SEE the patterns drawn so I get the theory. Ricky is creating the mental map the other well known YouTube teachers either ignore completely, or do not explain the string pairs, sets and R-3-5 patterns and A string anchor that Ricky has shared. Since YouTube has countless amounts of teacher, players, content, mixing and matching what works for each person can be overwhelming, but over time, and trial and error, each person can create a recipe that teaches them the best. For me, I will continue with Ricky for some time to come. This is why I bought the spiral bound book as well. Thanks Ricky.

Docendo discimus! from Seneca the Younger, who wrote in his Letters to Lucilius, "Homines dum docent discunt, " which means "Men learn while they teach".

Watched your lesson from the Book Ricky - very simple to follow. Watching the live lesson after the fact due to the time difference. Maybe I'll burn the 2 a.m. candle to watch you truly live. Keep up all the Good Stuff
